Horizon Staffing Resources is seeking an ABA paraprofessional for the current 2025-2026 school year in Bergenfield, NJ. The ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) paraprofessional will work closely with a student with behavioral needs. The ABA paraprofessional will build rapport with the student to learn behaviors and modify them in a constructive way. The ideal candidate will have previous background working in an ABA setting with ODD.
The Schedule:
- Monday through Friday – NO WEEKENDS!
- 8:30am to 3:10pm – NO EVENINGS OR NIGHTS!
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- One-on-one instruction: Implementing lessons and behavior intervention plans created by a behavior consultant
- Daily Living Activity Assistance: Helping students with personal care needs
- Data collection: Recording session progress and other data on data sheets
- Documentation: Maintaining records of behavior analysis data and graphing
- Communication and Collaboration: Working with teachers and other staff to create an effective learning environment
- Involvement: Participating in clinical team meetings and training and assisting with classroom activities and setup
- Student Supervision: Monitoring students on breaks, recess, field trips, etc
Qualifications
What You’ll Need:
- Experience: Previous experience in an ABA setting with ODD required
- Educational background: High school diploma required
- Clearance: Must be fingerprinted by the New Jersey Board of Education
