1:1 Paraprofessional

1:1 PARAPROFESSIONAL – Westampton, NJ

Horizon Staffing Resources is seeking a qualified paraprofessional in Westampton, NJ for the current 2024-2025 school year. The position is a 1:1 in a school setting, working in the classroom with one student to help in academics and all other related tasks. Must be comfortable working with a student of special needs.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday; 8:15am – 2:00pm

Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional reinforcement for individual student
• Attend to students' physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs
• Support students with special needs by following provisions specified in their IEPs/504 Plans
• Assist teacher with classroom management and general supervision of the class
• Assist with administrative duties such as setting up equipment and preparing materials
• Supervise student in the cafeteria, schoolyard, specials, hallways, on field trips, etc
• Perform other duties as directed by the classroom teacher and school administration.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience in behavior management preferred
• Experience with 1-1 care a plus!
• Must have or be willing to get fingerprinted by the Board of Education.

Qualification Requirements:

• High School Diploma with ETS Parapro Assessment (Minimum Score of 456 or Higher); or
• An Associate’s (or higher) Degree; or
• Completion of two years of study at an institution of higher learning (60 College Credit Minimum)
