Horizon Staffing Resources is seeking ABA paraprofessionals for a general education kindergarten classroom for the current 2025–2026 school year in Saddle River, NJ. This role involves supporting a young student with challenging behaviors, requiring strong behavior management skills and a proactive, patient approach.
The ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) paraprofessional will work closely with students on the autism spectrum and/or with other behavioral needs. You will build rapport with your student(s), understand behavior patterns, and implement strategies to promote positive outcomes in a classroom setting.
The Schedule:
- Monday through Friday – NO WEEKENDS!
- 8:00 am to 2:45pm – NO EVENINGS OR NIGHTS!
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Behavior support: Manage and Respond to challenge behaviors using ABA strategies
- Daily Living Activity Assistance: Helping students with personal care needs
- Data collection: Recording session progress and other data on data sheets
- Documentation: Maintaining records of behavior analysis data and graphing
- Communication and Collaboration: Working with teachers and other staff to create an effective learning environment
- Involvement: Participating in clinical team meetings and training and assisting with classroom activities and setup
- Student Supervision: Monitoring students on breaks, recess, field trips, etc
Qualifications
What You’ll Need:
- Experience: Previous experience in an ABA setting required, CPI and restraint training preferred
- Educational background: High school diploma required
- Clearance: Must be fingerprinted by the New Jersey Board of Education
