Horizon Staffing Resources is seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Teacher to support a childcare and early education setting. Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that supports children’s development
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with early childhood curriculum standards
- Manage classroom structure and daily routines
- Supervise and support Assistant Teachers
- Observe and assess student development and adjust teaching methods as needed
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress
- Implement positive behavior management strategies
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and staff-to-child ratios
- Supervise children during classroom and outdoor activities
- Participate in trainings, meetings, and team collaboration
Qualifications
Qualifications
- CDA, Group Teacher certification, or Associate’s Degree in Education or related field required
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year of childcare or classroom experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to lead a classroom and work as part of a team
- Knowledge of early childhood development and classroom management
