Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual looking to positively impact someone’s life? Horizon Staffing Resources is currently hiring Companions for a private client located in the Easton area of Pennsylvania. This is a meaningful opportunity to provide non-medical support and companionship to someone in need.
Schedule/Hours:
- Schedule: Coverage needed Sunday - Saturday
- Hours: 7AM-7PM or 7PM-7AM
Start/end times may be flexible, but all shifts are 12 hours.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Companionship & Socialization: Accompany to appointments, errands, and social events. Engage in meaningful conversation and activities to reduce isolation.
- Emotional Support: Be a source of encouragement, active listening, and emotional care.
- Light Housekeeping: Assist with general tasks such as laundry, dusting, vacuuming, and maintaining a clean environment.
- Medication Reminders: Gently prompt or remind client to take prescribed medications on time.
- Documentation & Communication: Monitor and report any changes in behavior, mood, or health to family or appropriate healthcare personnel.
- Safety Monitoring: Ensure client’s safety and support mobility when needed.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Patience, empathy, and compassion
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Reliable and dependable work ethic
- Flexibility to respond to client’s changing needs
- Preferred but not required: First Aid, CPR, or nursing training
