Instructional Assistant – Chadds Ford, PA

Location: Chadds Ford, PA

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Pay Rate: $22/hour

Horizon Staffing Resources is seeking a dedicated Instructional Assistant to support a Head Start classroom serving children ages 3–5. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about early childhood education and enjoys working in a collaborative classroom environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the classroom teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and age-appropriate activities
• Support children during learning, play, and group activities
• Help maintain a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment
• Provide assistance with hygiene needs as required (most children are potty trained, but some may need support)
• Supervise children during transitions, meals, and outdoor play
• Maintain classroom organization and help with the preparation of materials
• Communicate effectively with the teaching team and site leadership

Requirements:

• Experience working with children ages 3–5 preferred
• Ability to assist with basic hygiene and care needs
• Dependable, patient, and comfortable in a fast-paced classroom setting
• Ability to pass all required background checks and clearances
