Horizon Staffing Resources is seeking Certified Medication Aides (CMAs) who are dual certified as either a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to join our team. This position involves providing high-quality care to residents while supporting safe medication practices in a compassionate, person-centered environment.

Schedule Options:

• Part-Time: Tuesdays & Wednesdays | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Full-Time: Tuesdays to Fridays + every other weekend | 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer daily prescription and non-prescription medications per protocol.
• Deliver compassionate care under the direction of the Nurse Team Leader.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition; document and report as required.
• Maintain accurate medication records and reorder medications as needed.
• Respond to emergencies and administer first aid as necessary; complete incident reports.
• Support residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), promoting independence.
• Escort residents to meals and assist with dining services when needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and inclusive environment by following all infection control policies.
• Collaborate effectively with all departments and contribute to a respectful workplace culture.

Requirements:

• NJ Certified Medication Aide (CMA) License
• NJ CNA or CHHA Certification (dual-certification required)
• Active CPR/BLS certification
• Strong understanding of pharmacological and medical terminology
• Excellent clinical judgment and documentation skills
• Compassionate approach to senior and memory care
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
• Prior experience in caregiving, hospice, or dementia care (preferred)
